बसंती बयार

The beloved shines like the sun;
the lover whirls like the planets.
When love’s spring breeze blows,
every moist branch starts dancing

चमकता माशूक सूरज के जैसे ;
 प्यार चक्कर लगाता ग्रहों जैसे
 जब बहे बयार प्यार की बसंती
 हर गीली शाख लगती थिरकने .

छोड़ो न

Do not leave me,
hide in my heart like a secret,
wind around my head like a turban.

You can tease me as much as you like
but never leave me.

छोड़ो न मुझे ,
 जाओ छिप दिल में गुप्त चुप  से
 सर चढ़  मंडराओ पगड़ी जैसे 
 आता और जाता मैं मर्ज़ी से अपनी
कहते तुम , तेज़ जैसे धड़कने दिल की ..
 तुम चिड़ा सकते मुझे चाहो जितना
पर कभी न  छोड़ कर जाना मुझे  

प्यार पानी

A lifetime without Love is of no account.
Love is the Water of Life.
 Drink it down with heart and soul !
ज़िंदगी सारी नहीं कुछ काम की
 प्यार पानी ज़िंदगी में
पियो छक के दिल से और रूह से !

If there are a hundred religious books, they are but one chapter:
a hundred different religions seek one place of worship.
All these roads end in one House:
all these thousand ears of corn are from one Seed.
All the hundred thousand sorts of food and drink...
are but one thing if one looks to their final cause.
When you are entirely satiated with one kind of food,
fifty other kinds of food become displeasing to your heart.
In hunger, then, you are seeing double,
for you have regarded as more than a hundred thousand
that which is but One. 

 
 सेंकडो हों किताबें धर्म पर,  एक हैं वे  सार -संक्षेप  में 
 सैंकड़ों धर्मो को ज़रूरत एक पूजा केंद्र की 
 रास्ते सारे  जाते एक ही घर को
 ज्यूँ हज़ारों दाने  मक्के के उगें  एक बीज से
 सेंकडो हज़ारों पके पकवान खाने पीने को
 ध्यान से देखो  अंतिम परिणति तो एक सबकी
 जब हो तुम तृप्त भोजन एक खा के
 पचासों नए भोजन लगते उबाऊ ह्रदय  को
भूख लगती, तो,  भाते  दोगुने
क्योंकि तुमने माना   सेंकडो हज़ारों से भी ज्यादा 
 उसे जो कि  एक है केवल
