My Heart has become a bird
which searches in the sky.
Every part of me goes in different direction
is it really so?
that the one I love is everywhere? ~R

ह्रदय मेरा जैसे पक्षी ,

 

खोजता उड़ता निलय में

                                       
                                                       अंग एक एक खोजता पल पल दिशाएं ,

                                                                       क्या यही वह ?

                                                              क्या जिसे चाहूँ निरंतर ,,....

                                                                        सब जगह है ?.....

 

When your chest is free of your limiting ego,
Then you will see the ageless Beloved.
You can not see yourself without a mirror;
Look at the Beloved, He is the brightest mirror.
मुक्त जिस पल ह्रदय हो जाए अहम् से ,
पा सकोगे प्रेम मय प्रियतम, अमर जो ,
 देख न सकते छवि दर्पण बिना तुम ,
देखो उसको जो सर्वोत्तम है दर्पण ..

Not only the thirsty seek the water,
the water as well seeks the thirsty.
न केवल खोजता प्यास है जल को ..
खोजता है जल भी प्यासे पथिक को ..

Hear this if you can:
If you want to reach him
You have to go beyond yourself
And when you finally arrive at the land of absence
Be silent
Don’t say a thing
Ecstasy, not words, is the language spoken there

सुन सको यदि तो सुनो तुम .
                .चाहते यदि पाना उसको ..
घुला दो अपने अहम् को ,
                           जब पहुँच जाओ जहां कुछ शेष न हो .
                        .मौन हो ..
कुछ भी                 न बोलो ..
आनंद , न कि शब्द , भाषा है प्रचलित वहां जो ..

This is how it always is when I finish a poem.
A great silence comes over me,
and I wonder why I ever thought
to use language !

हमेशा होता है ऐसा जब ख़त्म करता हूँ नज़्म
एक चुप्पी गहन मुझ को घेर लेती
होता हूँ हैरान खुद पर क्यूँ सोचा भी मैंने
कि जुबां को यूं चुनू ?

 

                                            है यही वह् लोक
                                                                ईश्वर की किरण
                                                                                     दिखती है ख़ुद में !

चुप रहो
ना कुछ् कहो यदि
बन सके ना वाणी उसकी
बनो पहले कान रब  के..
